The mini greenhouse can be designed specifically, or purchased from the many distributors. The mini greenhouse is designed as a starter kit. If you want a handful of plants the mini greenhouse is the product to start with. In the winter, the mini greenhouse provides a safe house for your plants.

Collect a series of clear, versatile synthetic materials made from polymerization of organic compounds. Basically the green plastic, soda bottles will do. With an ice pick punch holes in the side of the bottles to provide added ventilation. Be sure to place the bottles right-side up over seedling and push the bottle deep in the soil. Remove the bottle when the plants are tall enough. Avoid growing plants through the top of the bottle.

Purchase as many transparent storage containers as needed at any pound shop. Place the plantlets in assorted plant trays. Once the plants are soiled in the trays place the storage containers upside-down over the seedling trays. Drill 3/8 inch holes at the side of the storage container for added ventilation and then place the containers in a sunny area.

Plastic Zip Lock: Place seedlings in trays-place plastic zip lock bag over seedling trays-avoid concealing the plastic bags completely to provide adequate ventilation. Once you have followed the procedures avoid placing the plants in a sunny area until the plants have met their first growth. The best solution is finding a warm area within your house until the first growth. While I listed plastic zip locks bags as a means for building a small greenhouse, you can basically purchase any clear plastic suitable for planting. However, you must punch holes in fully covered plastic materials to provide adequate ventilation.

The Cold Frames allows us to harvest our plants any time of the year and extend our growth at the same time. Various models are available on the market at various prices. Before purchasing or building we must consider what our growing intentions are? How much space we have to grow plants? Once we have made our determinations clear we can then decide if we want to build our own, or depend on distributors to deliver our needs. Once you have made your decision you must also consider the tools needed to assembly. In most cases, we should have on hand-straight-line laser tape, stud finder, a skill 7/14” circular saw, 3.6” Volt Screwdriver, cordless drill, and a Shop Vac. After deciding on building our own or purchasing a mini greenhouse we will know what is needed more precisely.
